Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Brian Turner received his B.S. in Corporate Finance from the University of Alabama in 1994. After working for Edward Jones after college, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1998. Brian was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1998 and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit and the Northern District, Southern District and Middle District of Alabama.
Brian is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives, a member of the Alabama State Bar, and Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, Executive Committee. Brian is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama, where he teaches Business Law. He is a member of First Baptist Church, serving on the Stewardship Committee from 2006-2008.
Mr. Turner’s areas of practice include disability law, personal injury, commercial and contract law, and will drafting and estate planning. Brian specializes in disability law, including claims for Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits (SSDIB) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims. He also handles claims for Long-term disability benefits (LTD) and Short-term disability benefits (STD) on insurance policies through employers, including ERISA claims and non-ERISA private insurance policies. He has handled claims against insurance companies such as UNUM Life Insurance Company of America, UNUM Provident, Reliance Standard, Met Life, Liberty Mutual, CIGNA, and Hartford Life.
Brian’s interests include golf, basketball, baseball and spending time with his wife, Mary Jane, and daughter, Farris.
